Pioneer Days Rodeo - Yahoo!

We got to the stadium early to reserve seats for the whole family, and took a few pictures as we got settled. We had such a great time with all of the excitement we forgot to pull the camera out again. Eli and Maggie loved watching the animals and cowboys almost as much as the slushes, cotton candy, kettle corn, suckers, licorice...

Fighting Cancer

As many of you know, fighting cancer is something our family has faced in a number of ways. There are a couple of great opportunities coming up to support efforts for two great foundations also fighting the disease. I've posted the basics, but if you need additional details, just post a comment and I'll get them to you.

Justin (my brother-in-law) - lost his sister Heidi to liver cancer. This event is in her memory.

We're all behind Ginger and her battle (she's doing great!). Our friend Kay is managing this event - more details can be found at their shop website - BMW Motorcycles of SLC.

Love the camera

Everywhere we go lately, Eli and Maggie ask if I have the camera with me because they love getting their picture taken. Here are a couple of random smiles I love.

Favorite Things Package Arrived!

Thank you Cat! I received my "Favorite Things" Swap package this week and loved getting such a nice surprise. Everything was wrapped and tagged, which made it extra fun to open. There were books, a really yummy fig and olive candle, ginger lotion, chocolate, lavender, ribbon, and great note cards...all things I love too. Check out pictures from the hostess Flickr site - you'll see lots of great packages sent from those who participated...and may be enticed to participate next time. Lots of fun!

4th of July Fun

In between unpacking, we've been escaping to the lake - and spent a few extra days there over the 4th of July holiday. There was plenty of fun making our usual glow bugs (Shaylee's got a little hairy), watching fireworks on the beach, and participating in the neighborhood Golf Cart Parade (a must have accessory to any "vacation home" in the Sweet Water Trailer Park). Eli got to sleep in a tent for the first time and loved sharing one with Ian. We love Bear Lake!
