"M" Cousins

We had a fun afternoon visiting with our cousins and playing at Toad's today. Eli & Maggie always love spending time with them when they're in town, and I enjoy catching up on the latest family news. Thanks for scheduling us in this weekend!

EBX09

This year's Easter Basket Exchange was lots of fun again. Because you receive a basket from someone different than who you send one too, there is always a lot of variety. Cherry (from Brooklyn, NY) sent my goodies and included a few of my favorite things...dark chocolate and jewelery. Thanks Cherry! To see pics from others who participated (including mine), you can see DiscoMom's post regarding the EBX09 results here.

Easter Sunday

Despite my horribly annoying cough, we made it through all the musical numbers and my RS lesson. Mom & Dad joined us for the program and to sit with E&M. We then enjoyed Easter dinner at their home while the kids received their annual "PJ" Easter treat.

Our Easter Egg Adventures

We enjoyed the usual traditions, but decided to play it safe this year with the weather and just picnic at Stef's house. Her front yard was perfect for hiding eggs and treats, plus there was plenty of room in back for our roasting pit (try getting the smell of camp fire out of Maggie's hair - not easy). New this year was digging for worms and a batch of silly string. Definitely a hit.

(Another Maggie note: She insisted for Easter she MUST wear a dress, so her get-up is our compromise. Unfortunately her dramatic request for "Princess Aurora hair" did not get fulfilled. When you go to sleep in braids it's a little hard to create long flowing curls. I'll be pulling my magic wand out tomorrow morning for that project. I will agree that Easter Sunday requires princess hair, though I'm not sure what we'll get out of mine once we spend half the morning on hers.)

save your hands for more important work!)
