Maggie and her pre-school group performed a Christmas show this year. She loves getting dressed up and thinks it is great having Hannah in class with her. They both did a great job even though the show itself was a little hectic. This video makes me laugh and the yawn says it all.
We did it again. This year Dad got some brighter lights to add to the cart. As always, the kids loved it and the neighbors just laughed. We even rode up to the city building to see the lights this year, which was fun to drive down new streets and through the city center grounds all lit up. We ended the night with carols, dancing, games, a puppet show and Christmas movie charades. We are definitely not a family of singers or actors, but we do have fun!
Thanks to my fabulous friend Monica, I now look forward to birthdays - the party portion, not the growing older. Like last year, she put together a big event with lots of great friends and activities all evolving around me. Horribly embarrassing (notice the banner), but a lot of fun (even the spanking machine). She used her sweet Marriott connections to get us a weekend in Park City where we had access to one of my favorite restaurants (Oishi Sushi), the perfect party pad (plenty of space for our Just Dance-athon), and great shopping. Monica even made a custom "cake" for me - coconut cream filled cream puffs (from scratch) drizzled with dark chocolate and sprinkled with toasted coconut. It was delicious!
