Maggie's Spring Song

I'm officially a soccer mom.

Eli started his first season today as #4 on "Team Dragon."

The game was hilarious. Like basketball, the kids would just stand there and watch the action rather than jump in and play. Trying to remember what net they were supposed to be heading for was also a challenge (especially when it changes mid game!). He and Cragun had a great time and loved kicking the ball when they could. Eli also loved having an official space to do it all in.

Our Easter Morning

Eli & Maggie were up really early. I could hear them sneaking around (having not bothered to come check with me) looking for their baskets. Our tradition includes the Easter Bunny hiding their baskets anywhere in the house, and a few special chocolate treats hidden in the family room. Eli's was hidden in a spot that was too easy (time for the EB to up her game) and Maggie thought it was funny that the Easter Bunny got confused...she was sure it would be hidden in her bath tub, but found it hidden in Mom's. I think the EB was pretty clever.

Sadly, after a fun morning and while preparing to settle down for General Conference, Maggie threw up (no, it wasn't because I let her eat too many treats). Unfortunately that is what our day has been filled with - throw-up, wash, short nap, throw-up, wash, short nap. We even had to wash her beautiful Easter curls away because of the throw-up in her hair. So much for the sacrificed night of "beauty sleep."

Annual Easter Picnic

We had a great time today, despite the cold, enjoying our usual Easter picnic traditions: hotdogs, marshmallows, bubbles, and mega-Easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun this year to have Monica & kids join us, plus a few other new friends. Below are pics of all the activity, including a close-up of Eli's special plumber's egg for Karson. We attempted a family pic but with a large group a "crazy shot" is the best we got. Love our family!
