Swimming Lessons

We survived our annual two week swim lesson event. Eli did great trying new things and learning to back float in the deep end. Maggie also did great and had no problems going under the water (unlike last year). She also learned to float and loved her teacher.

The last day of class the girls got to make a "life jacket train" and float together in the deep end, to see how to swim while wearing them. Eli's class got to have "noodle races" in the deep end and had a blast. He and Bronson were the blue team.

Happy Birthday Grandma H!

My date with Eli

Because Maggie got to spend the night with Hannah, I decided to ask Eli for a date and told him he could pick what he wanted to do. He chose meatballs, rock climbing and frozen yogurt. It was a great agenda, which we made into a double date with Monica & Bronson.

The boys had a fun time at The Spaghetti Factory eating their giant meatballs (and running around), then challenging each other at a new climbing place we decided to check out. Frozen yogurt at Juicy Berry is the perfect way to end a night.

Thanks for a great date Eli!

24th of July Rodeo & BBQ

Monica and I spent a fun weekend with the kids & some friends celebrating the July 24th holiday. It started with a trip to Park City for our favorite sushi (seriously amazing stuff and half price during the off season!), followed by a night at the Ogden Pioneer Days rodeo. The next day we got together to BBQ (tuna steaks & salmon this time - which the kids also love) and enjoy a big box of fireworks & sparklers to celebrate with after. We have a great time together and the kids love playing wherever we go. Happy Pioneer Day!
