We got to celebrate Skylar's 30th birthday this week with dinner and games at his house. Karolina cooked a great dinner (Polish style), we had Tres Leche cake, opened presents (Shaylee brought hers back from Peru), played with punch balls & water balloons, then relaxed in the hammock.
This is the work of the "3 princess" below, who also loved having Great Grandma & Grandpa Miller stop by for some impromptu dress up and scrap paper crowns. Grandma even received some fancy jewelry.
Taking the "no boys allowed" seriously, Bronson and Eli decided to go one step further and hide out in his closet. Definitely a good move.
We had a great evening celebrating the Fathers in our lives with the usual picnic and games. It was fun to have Uncle Tim, Aunt Karen & family, visiting that weekend from CA, join us as well. Eli & Maggie love having such great family around and especially love spending time with Grandpa H & Great-Grandpa Miller.
Monica and I spent last weekend at the lake with friends to celebrate her 35th birthday, and to run the 1/2 marathon. This was my 5th, and her 1st (we ran it on her actual birthday) - and she still beat me by about 20 minutes! I am hoping for long, skinny legs in my next life.
