Vegas Wedding Trip (2)

After the wedding, Samantha, Monica and I crammed as much as we could into 2 Vegas nights. We had massages, laid by the pool, ate Thai food, ate Italian food (clams right out of the shell), ate Benihana's (my absolute favorite!), saw the Cirque Du Soleil show KA' (amazing!!), danced all that food off at MGM's Tabu dance club (after scoring complimentary passes and not having to show more skin to do so), walked the strip, refused rides with some really hot Harley guys (still telling myself that was the right thing to do), rode New York, New York's roller coaster at night, watched the Bellagio water show, indulged in a little slot machine action (Sam's favorite was the Wizard of Oz game...anything with sound and motion makes losing money less painful), and topped it all off with a quick stop at Trader Joe's to stock up on a few favorites I've been missing.

I think that list about covers it. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I was too busy having fun and forgot to take more pics - but this gives you an idea.

Vegas Wedding Trip (1)

We had a great "Girl's Getaway" this last weekend in Vegas. My cousin was getting married in the Vegas temple, so we planned a quick trip to celebrate with her and to enjoy a little Vegas action. The wedding/reception was very nice. We loved meeting her new "family" and being with her on this special day. A few weddings pics are below. Details on the playing portion of the trip will be Part 2...dinner, shows, dancing and more!

New Laundry Approach

I asked Eli to get the laundry gathered so we could start washing this morning. When he came to tell me he had done this, he also informed me that it was set up so I could easily sort it - all I have to do is sit in the circle. Sounds good to me.

Big Help

We have been playing quite a bit these first days of summer. So, today I made us put a few hours in of house cleaning (each room was in desperate need of attention). Eli was amazing. While I was doing a semi deep clean-out of my closet, he decided to do the same in his room. I had no idea he was cleaning out his drawers and putting everything back in after putting them in nice, neat piles. This is something he just decided needed to be done, and was so proud to show me. I really am lucky to have such an amazing son who loves to help his mom.

Maggie contributed by giving her ponies a bath. And playing with her Barbies. And pushing her baby in the stroller. Hopefully soon she'll realize "mommy" duties include cleaning too.
