Trick or Treat!

We had a great time jumping into the usual Halloween candy craze. This year Eli was a Pirate Skeleton...who happened to still have facial hair. He was so excited to wear a mustache and wanted to draw it himself, I couldn't say no. Notice the color blue (his market choice) and the fabulous curls that swirl over his cheeks. He is definitely sporting a totally sweet stache. He was pretty excited about the beaded soul patch too.

Maggie wanted to be a witch...with sparkles. Fortunately mom still had a dress in her costume box that worked perfectly. Between our Bank of Utah trip (where Shaylee works) and the neighborhood, we're now set with candy for months.

Family Halloween Birthday Party

Our annual event is so much fun. There are 5 birthdays we celebrate in October (4 that are actually in the same week). Because mine is just a few days into November, you can easily just say 6. This year there was a really, really, really scary clown, great food, lots and lots of birthday cake, a crazy pinata, and presents galore. We love it!

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa M!

Maggie received a great "Grandma made" sweater this year for her birthday from Grandma & Grandpa M, and Eli received the "every little boy needs one" pair of cowboy boots. They both love their gifts, and decided we needed a picture to share. Thank you!

Happy Birthday Eli!

We had a great time celebrating Eli's 6th birthday. After school we went to lunch and then I let him pick what "6" balloons he wanted this year - he chose a dinosaur one, polka dot, swirl, football, pirate and one with wedding bells (I have no explanation for that).

We got to visit at Grandma & Great Grandma's house to open presents, then went to a fun party down at my friend's house. Chris started the party with a hay ride out to the back of his farm property where there was a bonfire, hay bales and a big screen (generator) for Halloween movies, a giant BBQ for hamburgers, and a "Halloween Walk" down an old ditch that had been decorated with spiders, webs, ghosts and skeletons. We also sang Happy Birthday to Eli and shared Dracula fangs with all our new friends. It was a great night!
