Maggie's PreSchool Graduation

Maggie had her Pre-School Graduation Program this week. Even though she attended the same school Eli went to, things are a little different under their new Director. Her program was at a new location, less organized and for some reason included "extra" kids hanging on the stage - like the one standing by the microphone when Maggie was speaking (seen in the video below). However, she did a great job and memorized her part all by herself. She also received a nice note from her teacher and really liked learning from Ms. Tana this year.

To celebrate, Samantha and I took the girls to Chuck E Cheese for lunch and a few quick games. Maggie wasn't feeling well that day, but was a trooper through it all.

Soccer Season Ends

Eli had a great ending to his first season of soccer this week. He learned quickly and showed lots of improvement with each game - especially staying with the ball and working it towards the net. He loved playing the game and definitely wants to do it again in the fall. It was exciting having Grandma & Grandpa M come watch this game too.

The Big Recital!

Eli & Maggie performed at their recital Saturday showing off all the dancing and tumbling skills they've been learning. Because of the Oldies show theme Eli performed to "Grease Lightening" and Maggie performed to "California Girls." They did a great job and loved having Bronson and Emory with them this year.

It was a special treat having Grandpa M come to watch, then grab yogurt to celebrate with us after.

Eli's "Grease Lightening" Performance

Eli had a great class of dancers and tumblers. He and Bronson got to team up on a couple of the stunts and loved performing together. I'm not sure why his jacket came a size smaller than his pants, but he didn't seem to mind. Plus, it made his collar stand up...which is cool.

Maggie's "California Girls" Performance

Maggie had a great class of girls who loved dancing together. Her costume was a little big. Fortunately I have sewing skills that consist of "rolling pants" and "tying knots" - so it was all good. She loves performing on the stage and had no problems in front of a crowd.

Andrew & Tina's Wedding

Part of our crazy Saturday included the wedding ceremony & celebration of my cousin Andrew & his new wife Tina. It was a fun opportunity to get a few family pictures...before rushing off to dance/tumbling recitals.
