A rare afternoon

Maggie decided on her own that she needed a nap, then just climbed into my bed and fell asleep. I don't remember the last time she has done this. Eli said he wanted to have one too. Ya, right.

Food for Thought

With the latest news, this has been a main topic of conversation lately with many friends (for obvious reasons) - so I thought I'd share this article I found with everyone. It has some great quotes and insight.

Beach Time

We were able to grab some beach time this weekend while at the lake. Eli and Maggie love it!

Minnetonka Cave Adventure - The Tour

Eli & Maggie were excited once we finally started the cave tour. They loved exploring around the entrance and hearing the different names given some of the formations. Eli did a great job and had no trouble going up and down all 888 steps (444 in and 444 out). Maggie also did a great job, only needing to be carried a few steps on our way out and finishing the very last ones on her own.

Minnetonka Cave Adventure - The Picnic

While at Bear Lake this weekend we decided to take Eli & Maggie on a new adventure and visit the Minnetonka Cave. Because of the holiday weekend, we had to buy our tickets then wait a couple of hours for our tour to begin. To fill the time, Shaylee and I "hiked" down a trail from the cave entrance where we met the others for a little picnic in the canyon. Eli and Maggie loved exploring around our site and watching Grandpa do "magic."

Pioneer Day Rodeo

Because last year was so fun, we decided we needed to hit the rodeo again for Pioneer Days. We had a great time watching all of the events and were thrilled to see the motorcycle group was going to end the show again - this is Eli's favorite (and all he talked about seeing once I told him we were going again). It was a fun night filled with the expected sugar high from slushes and cotton candy too...lots of which ended up on clothes, running down legs, and sticking to feet.
