Trouble Under The Bed

I had a hard time deciding how mad to be once I found her....


The 5 minutes (which felt like hours) spent calling her name and looking all over the house for her was pretty scary. I remembered her fondness for hiding under the bed and not answering my call, so when I thought to look there and found her fast asleep, I decided the only thing I could do at that point was get my camera. There's nothing like snuggling up to wood shelves covered in shrink wrap.

Show Offs

Because it was their Primary Program at church today, Maggie got to pull out her new fall dress and Eli his new tie. To show it all off, they wanted to pose for a few pics (I think they're getting a little too comfortable with the camera). However, I was happy to oblige. I love their smiles and Maggie's insistence that she pose in 5th position (ballet). I can totally relate.

We finally did it. After months of discussion, snarls, and morning hair battles, we were ready for a change. Since Maggie's hair grows like a weed, we decided to share her great hair with Locks of Love and start over again (it will be long again before we know it). Maggie made the official decision and has been quite excited about it, even claiming that she can now color "and not have to keep moving my hair off the paper."

Her Aunt Samantha did a great job and we love the cut. I'll admit I have mixed feelings...happy to have smoother mornings, but sad to see how grown up my baby looks now. However, since I am her mother, I can just say she looks dang cute either way.

Wicked In Seattle

Monica and I had a great weekend in WA seeing Wicked at the Paramount, checking out the sites of Seattle, and spending time with many of her good friends. We stayed in the "Carver Castle" with Jen and her family who were wonderful hosts. Thanks Josh & Jen! I loved Seattle and look forward to planning another weekend there.
