The End of Gymnastics

Eli and Maggie took gymnastics this year at a new place so they could experience all the different apparatus. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get great pictures and only had my camera at one of their last lessons (Maggie will start ballet this fall and Eli is choosing a year of sports). However, Eli loved all the areas - especially the rings (and he could climb the rope like a monkey). Maggie enjoyed the balance beam and perfecting her skills in preparation for her ballet turns and leaps (something she'll show you over and over again, every day). It totally makes me smile!

Maggie's Pre-School Program

Maggie officially ended her Pre-School years and is ready for Kindergarten! Her class performed a year-end program and Maggie started it all off with a part she memorized and practiced for weeks. We also said goodbye to Miss Rose - a teacher Maggie and Hannah really enjoyed this year.

Mother's Day Breakfast

I am so blessed to be a mom, especially to Eli and Maggie, who fill my days with lots of laughter, love and just a little bit of trouble (Eli has become quite the tease and Maggie responds right on cue with as much drama as she can dish back). They woke up early on Mother's Day to make me breakfast: a Boost shake, tube of GoGurt, and peanut butter sandwich. It was perfect. Eli then gave me a beautiful butterfly pin he had made out of macaroni, and Maggie gave me a garden stone she painted. What I loved most were the notes they included.

The 3 best things about my mother are:
1. When she tucks me into bed.
2. When she does the laundry.
3. When she makes breakfast.

We Love Baseball!

Eli totally owned 1st base this year and did an awesome job! He had some major hits (including a couple of home runs) and did great fielding. I could see a huge difference this year in his understanding of the game and involvement with each play. Coach Andy was great with him and helped Eli to love the game. We can't wait for next season!

Bye Bye Bieber

I am going to miss this look on Eli...I love it! But, he has way too much hair for summer - and baseball season is coming up. He said he plans to grow it again this fall. We'll see.
